The Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety has awarded $7,500 of funding to two projects through its 2019 Dr. John Wade Patient Safety Initiatives Grant. 

The grant recognizes projects in communities which advance the practice, awareness and knowledge of patient safety.   The winners are:

•      Maggie Ireland and Jessica Brunskill, Brandon Health Center Inpatient Unit

                 Project: Enhanced Recovery following Colorectal Surgery

•      Vera Comerford, Northern Health Region

                 Project: Reducing Medication Errors on an Acute Care Inpatient Unit
