Prairie Mountain Health strives to maintain a latex safe environment. Unfortunately the latex protein can be found in the much loved poinsettia plant popular during the holiday season. For the safety of everyone we ask you to please not bring these plants into our PMH Facilities. Check out some of the other festive options that can be shared with residents, patients and staff in PMH facilities.
A latex safe environment is a term used to describe an environment that minimizes risk of exposure to latex proteins, thereby reducing the risk of a latex reaction occurring in sensitized or allergic individuals. This is achieved by either removing the item, when an alternate is available, or by reducing inventory of natural rubber latex products that are most likely to cause a reaction.
Thank you for supporting PMH's vision of Health and Wellness for All!
