Medical Masks are Mandatory at all PMH Facilities

EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MARCH 15th all persons visiting health care facilities (hospitals and personal care homes) are now required to wear a medical mask for the duration of their visit.  This includes:

  • Designated care givers
  • Designated visitors
  • Outpatients attending medical appointments
  • All staff

A person who enters or remains in our facilities will be asked to remove their personal mask and be given a medical mask which must be worn in a manner that covers their mouth, nose and chin without gapping.

Exemptions

  • Children under the age of five years of age;
  • Individuals with medical conditions unrelated to COVID-19, including breathing or cognitive difficulties, that prevent them from safely wearing a mask are exempted from this requirement;
  • Persons who are unable to put on or remove their mask without assistance are similarly exempted.
