Grand Opening Celebrations Held at Ste. Rose Primary Health Care Centre

Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) was pleased to host Grand Opening Celebrations at Ste. Rose Primary Health Care Centre on May 12, 2017. The Primary Health Care Centre has been officially operating since mid-January of this year.

Construction on the $3.6-million dollar Centre began in January 2016, and was completed nearly 12 months later. The new facility replaced the former Ste. Rose Community Health Services Building on the same site.

The new centre brings services together under one location—including public health, mental health, home care and primary health care. It enhances work with colleagues and communities for health promotion, illness and injury prevention, chronic disease management and education.

A Nurse Practitioner was recruited with a base site out of the Centre, which remains located next to the East Parkland Medical Group to preserve continuity of services.

The Turtle River Development Centre, made up of municipal partners in the area, provided a generous contribution to the overall project by donating land for the new site.
