Description:

 

Prairie Mountain Health region is currently recruiting a Neurologist to the city of Brandon. The Brandon Regional Health Centre is the region’s primary referral centre, serving a population in excess of 150,000 residents with a referral base of approximately 200 Family Physicians. Our diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine. Applicants will have the opportunity to join one of the various clinics located throughout the city.

 

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care

Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 55,000, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and travel problems.  Brandon University has a significant reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range of education options. Description:

Prairie Mountain Health is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to the city of Brandon. Brandon Regional Health Centre is the region’s primary referral centre, serving a population in excess of 150,000 residents. The 313-bed Regional Health Centre has 56 Surgical Beds, 6 Operating Rooms and 1 Minor Surgery Procedure Room. Our diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine. The successful candidate will provide anesthetic care throughout the surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of students and residents. On-call services will be provided in rotation.

Glenboro Health Centre is an 11 bed acute care and 26 bed long term care facility.  Services offered to the facility are Diagnostic, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, and Home Care Services.

The Village of Glenboro is situated at the junction of Provincial Highways 2 and 5, in the Westman Region of Manitoba. Glenboro is just 1.5 hours from the City of Winnipeg and 50 minutes from the City of Brandon.  The Village lies on the rolling plain between the Tiger Hills and the Assiniboine River and Spruce Woods Provincial Park to the north. 

Agriculture has always been the main staple for the Village of Glenboro and surrounding R.M. of South Cypress. Tourism is also a major part of the Glenboro economy. The fully accredited Brandon Regional Health Centre (BRHC) is accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Department Physician to start January 1st (or as soon as possible) in a term position ending September 30, 2018. The 313-bed Brandon Regional Health Centre is a regional referral centre for Southwestern Manitoba and receives about 27,000 emergency visits per year with greater than 60% being CTAS 1-3.  BRHC is a teaching hospital with residency programs for Family Medicine, Anesthesia, and EM residents, with opportunities for teaching and appointment with the University of Manitoba.

Renumeration/Hours:   - In accordance with the provincial contract, the current annual salary is $396,240 (including an annual stabilization payment)
